Whenever I upload a work with personal narratives in the NFT market, where series works such as emoticons and characters are randomly poured out, I often think, "Am I doing something wrong alone?". Wouldn't it be buried here without anyone knowing if it doesn't fit in the mood of the majority? It's because the fear of has come over me for a moment.
I'm sure that it will radiate energy if keep going , although when posting a drawing with the message "Let's not fall into the trap of fake things that seem more real than real." may seem like a 'silent roar' buried in a lot of works. I believe that such small attempts will gather and accumulate to create a trend of thought, which can be a critical reflection on a system, and that reflection will be a starting point for clearing the way for a better situation. However, this firm belief shakes when entering Opensea. The works in Opensea have endless similar-shaped images, like Coca-Cola drinks lined up in convenience stores, with many sales completion signs and "LIKE" pressed. And in contrast, faith often shakes when I see mine posted one by one with a lengthy explanation, a mark that has never been sold, and two or three shabby likes.
Internet media has a strong tendency toward totalitarianism. The purpose of a media medium used by an individual is to connect and communicate with a large number of people, and at this time, the individual is united with a large number of users as a user of the media and feels a sense of belonging within it. And that sense of belonging makes you adapt naturally to the established system. Therefore, Internet media users have a collective nature. However, this collectivity causes the absence of individual thoughts in making the group superior position to the individual. Hannah Arendt (1906-1975) defined evil as 'the absence of critical thinking'. She saw totalitarianism as driven by the absence of thought. Totalitarianism underlying the absence of thought is not good not only for the individual but also for the whole. Because absence of thought makes impossible to development. And this is why the subject, society, country, and the world without development, fall into great danger and despair.
I believe that this totalitarian tendency of Internet media is maximized by the characteristics of the virtual world. This is because, unlike the slow-moving reality due to the complicated intertwining of detailed elements, it is easier to form collective unity in a neat and fast virtual world. I think the virtual world of media is an environment in which individual thoughts are not likely to free as it is selected and refined by some common standard or system. Therefore, I want to present rough drawings containing hand movements, not smooth graphics or illustrations, upload a single image on the Internet but not multiple copies, and provide an opportunity to think about reality for a moment in the virtual world.
Let's ask each other the question, "What is the attitude we should have as real-world humans here, not just enjoy and accept in the mysterious and ingenious metaverse era?". I've read in an article that most modern man mistake selfies for their true selves. When after he or she is photographed, they often denies appearance of photos taken by others. They insist to themselves that the appearance of selfies is what they looks. "This is really my face!".
Also the incident, such as Netflix's <Inventing Anna>
